Our
VALUES
Rooted in the Word and flowing with life-giving water, our values shape who we are: a community restored by Christ, joyful in hope, welcoming as family, compassionate in service, and reverent before God. We seek to know Scripture, share healing and salvation, and live out the gospel so our town is transformed by grace.
the
WORD
Jesus purifies and cleanses every stain, wrinkle, and blemish by the washing with water through the Word to present a radiant church, holy and blameless. River City Church affirms the Bible as the inerrant, authoritative Word of God applicable in every area of our lives and seeks to cultivate a body of believers who know and experience the Scriptures and the power of God.

Matthew 22:29
In one of Ezekiel’s visions, he sees water flowing from the temple bringing new life to all that it touches. “Swarms of living creatures” will live in this river. River City Church is located in the center of our town and desires that same life-giving river to flow from our church, drawing others into a relationship with Christ and bringing new life wherever it flows–into the lives of those bound in addiction, living in seemingly hopeless family situations, and struggling just to survive.

holistic RESTORATION
True
joy
As followers of Jesus Christ, we have access to unceasing joy through the redemptive work of Jesus at the cross. Because of His death and resurrection and the Holy Spirit’s role in our lives as Comforter, we can proclaim the joy of the Lord as our strength, and with that joy, draw water from the wells of salvation. River City Church is committed to reaching people where they are and introducing them to Christ, the source of that joy.

Isaiah 12:3
In the Gospels, Jesus identifies His family as whoever does the will of His Father in heaven. Practically, River City Church values serving others with humility, just as Jesus demonstrated in his washing of the disciples’ feet with water. We desire to cultivate heaven on earth by welcoming people from every tribe, people group, and language to worship Jesus Christ, a friend who sticks closer than a brother, as one Body.

Caring
compassion
Showing compassion for others is deeply ingrained in the fabric of River City Church through the ministries the church faithfully organizes and supports. Jesus constantly went out of His way to care for others – even those with whom society had cast aside. To one woman who was a Samaritan (Jews typically did not associate with Samaritans), Jesus offered living water so she would never thirst again. He saw past her self-identified physical need and offered her the only thing that would truly satisfy her eternal longing.

Philippians 2:5-11
God is eternal. Before the earth was created, the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Even after humankind rebelled and turned its face on the Maker of the heavens and earth, God is rich in mercy and makes a way for us to have fellowship with Him eternally. It is by grace through faith that we are saved, not as a result of anything we have done or can do. River City Church recognizes our deep need for God, who is a consuming fire, and seeks to worship Him in awe and reverence.
